What does F2 mean

To answer your question..."What does F2 mean ?", the good news...It is likely nothing very serious, but the "resolve" requires some investigation on your part.
F2 means the control has indicated a overfill. This is meaning the overfill switch is indicating an overfill has been detected. Whether the unit has actually overfilled or not remains to be seen. It may in fact have been caused by a long drain or backed up drain.
