SOURCE: coleman tsr mach 3 RV Air Conditioner

the fan motor bearings need lub....the shaft has a tiny access hole to put some oil into. because the fan shaft is slowing down, it is putting more strain on the voltage current, and eventually the internal breaker shuts down the ac........plus your condenser is not getting enough air accross it, compressor heats up, and it too will shut the unit down......older units have to be oiled every year, and eventually it too will fail, and a new blower motor assembly is needed or replace the ac unit.....blower motor units are around $130....now you install it or pay to have it done at around another $150 labor,,,,,try yourself, if it fails then call the tech........let me know [email protected]

If this is a ducted unit, check the thermostat. It has a fuse for protection that may have blown. If the fuse is fine and you have power to the upper units control box, check for 120V incoming power at the control box and also check for incoming 12V on the Yellow and GH wires when tstat is set to high cool.

Hope this helps.

The distance of the cord is a big deal, 10AWG Cord would be best for this situation. If you have a 50ft cord, make sure that the cord is not wound up on top itself as this can cause a drop in voltage and a spike in amperage. Is the compressor trying to come on at all? If not, then you may have a problem with the selector switch or the thermostat. If the compressor is humming for a few seconds and then stopping and then trying to come on again, it could be a problem with voltage loss. Anything below 98.5 plus or minus 10% is too low the for the compressor to kick on.

probably (90 %) the compressor's bad, depnding on the repair cost you probbly want to just get another AC unit

Sounds like possible fan capacitor failure. If your not familiar with capacitors, please find someone who is, as they can give a fatal electrical jolt if not handled properly.

It's R-22 and you need to be licensed to handle it, if you're not a A/C service technician or fimiliar with charging an A/C system, then it is best to have a Coleman Service Technician to charge it for you.

Coleman 3 ton ac unit should condenser fan push or pull air

condenser fans typically 'pull' air (from around the unit) across the 'hot condenser coil' - and discharges it away from the unit.

Air conditioner does not cool

Well, letting things sit that long isn't good for them. It probably lost it's charge of freon. No way to fix that.
