Greetings
First is any other devices connected wireless to your router?
If not try resetting your internet connection.. then do you see any other wireless devices in the tablet? IE other neibors or such ?
If so try re entering the password again..also make sure the AIRPLANE mode isnt on. If this doesnt work you might need to do a reset on this tablet.
Let me know if this doesnt work..there might be other fixes.

If it's a Samsung you can either use a feature called screen mirroring that your TV has or send the video directly to the TV via wireless using AllShare Cast since the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet supports it. I've done it with videos. Unfortunately, you bought the one model that does not support HDMI. The original Tabs the Tab 2 10.1 (only, some versions and $40 instead of $10 like the TAB 3 adapter) and the Tab 3 all work using a relatively cheap adapter or dock.

Try "forget network" and reconnecting.

if you are entering the access point details manually ensure you have the correct encryption type selected (WPA, WEP etc) as you will not be able to connect unless you tell it the correct type.

if you are connecting to it from a selection of visible wifi networks you should try entering the password in a note (to ensure it is indeed correct) and then copying and pasting the password into the relevant password prompt box

Touch the Apps Menu button on the Home screen.

Open the Settings app.

Choose Wireless & Networks.

Choose Wi-Fi Settings.

Ensure that Wi-Fi is on.
When you see a green check mark next to the Wi-Fi option, Wi-Fi is on.

Choose a wireless network from the list.
Available Wi-Fi networks appear at the bottom of the screen. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding wireless access from your current location.
Optionally, type the network password.
Touch the Password text box to see the onscreen keyboard.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
Touch the Connect button.
You should be immediately connected to the network. If not, try the password again.

Hold the power down and press the -volume button down to reboot

Here are the facts.
1. Samsung Galaxy 10.1 is running Android 3.1.
2. Yahoo messenger is ported till Android 2.2.

Solution:
1. You may have to wait for sometime time till Yahoo compiles IM in Android 3.1.
2. Use android 3.1 provided IM client to connect to Yahoo Messenger.
