5. I am aware that once the account is deleted it cannot be reinstated at any later time.
6. I am aware of the consequences of the deletion and agree and accept the procedure of Ubisoft.

Alright, after a few months of steaming; I managed to FINALLY find a way to stop people from getting an error code 2 whenever they launch a game like AC2 for the first time. First off, check to see if you have a folder in your program files titled "ubisoft". In there, see if you got a folder titled "ubisoft launcher". If so then delete it. If your like me then you might have not even had the damned thing installed. Before you go to reinstall it [or even install it for the first time]; let's do some cleaning first. Bring up regedit [type regedit into "search" in windows tab menu or search to learn how to bring it up. It's easy].

On your left; you should have a list of folders. DO EXACTLY AS I DO! Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE THEN Wow6432Node then open the ubisoft folder in there. You'll see the game you installed Example would be Assassin's creed 2. Go to the folders titled "Launcher" and "Ubisoft Game Launcher". Delete both of them. DON'T WORRY! These stop the ubisoft game launcher from installing at all. It just crashes the installation no matter what you do. You can find the installer sometimes in the support folder in your game install dir but I never got mine. Instead; download it from this forum.
Install it and it should fully install. After, launch the game and it should update and go through it's own processes. Sometimes the launcher can't connect the server but keep it up. I managed to activate my copy after a few tries. You should FINALLY stop getting the "launch error code 2" and be able to play your game.

I had this issue with AC... Made me so mad I deleted the game at the end, but this solution I never tried... No I'm sorry I was so rough..

you cant fix that. just be patient and wait for Ubisoft to bring the server back on. you cant do nothing about this have a nice day

Same thing on the 360 bro, ubi is having serious issues with their servers.

it is a pdf file, so be sure you have acrobat reader.

the truth is you can't fix it i have tried myself then emailed ubisoft and they said they had removed the servers online play is no longer possible

I Believe that your game was created by UBISOFT.

You may have a copy protection conflict. Many games use EXTREMELY aggressive and harmful anti-piracy measures,
that often conflict with other games and software.

In fact many of these products, such as STAR-FORCE
used by UBISOFT up to two years ago behave like malware
to deliberately damage or replace Windows device drivers,
to cripple the CD ROM, and to hide like rootkits.

STAR-FORCE was the worst of the worst and it was classified
as a root-kit, that is why UBISOFT abandoned this protection
scheme a little over a year ago, due to a massive public outcry.

There may be a patch for your problem from UBISOFT, check this web link:
