To reset the motherboard: set the dipswitches at OC_SW1 to ON-OFF-ON, then clear the CMOS Ram by setting the jumper at JBAT1 to pins 2&3 while the power is OFF. Wait fifeteen seconds,Then return the jumper to pins 1&2 and turn the power on. This will re-set you to the factory defaults. You will need to enter the BIOS and re-configure your hard disk. The manual can be downloaded at ECS's website at: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P41TC31.html#/?div=Manual

My mother Bord "GA-790FXTA-UD5" NO Booting

I heard that if you are using an X6 Processor you need to have the Bios Updated, From what i have read so far the only way to do that is use a X3 or X4 that is compatible with the current Bios to boot up and update the Bios. This website http://us.test.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=3270&ver=#anchor_os Shows which processors are compatible with which Bios. And of course here is the website for the Bios updates http://us.test.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=3270&ver=#anchor_os

I have an msi ms-7390 k9n sli ver 2 motherboard and I updated the bios to the latest ver. 1.2. After that when cold booting the motherboard does not initialize usb you have to press delete to enter setup...

move the sata connection for your bootable HDD to another port like 3 or 4 and the bios will detect then run bios setup to boot from the sata 3 or 4 and it works like normal, must be a bug in sata 1 and 2. had same issue trying to install win7 x64. Win 7 refuses to detect sata DVD drive, moved it on the MB and it installed fine.

  3. when found take it out

Mother board driver issues

Don't panic. If you take the cover off the side of the computer and look at the motherboard you will find a jumper that says cmos. You can switch the jumper and wait a minute or so then switch it back and it will boot up its defaults. If you cant find the jumper just take the battery out of the motherboard and wait a couple minutes and then put it back in. that will do the same thing and it should boot up fine.
