My mitsubishi 52725 shuts itself off after acouple hrs

Th tv will shut itself off anywhere from 5minutes to 6 hrs of great operation then the blinking green light appears. I have to unplug wait then plug it back in wait 60seconds till it stops blinking green and then the process will be repeated in a short time and is very annoying and frustrating. I have replaced the 12 bad caqps and installed a dpdt switch made the picture cleaner but still shuts down im about to throw this thing out the bed of my pickup going 80 down the freeway, would be cool:) to see

Its most likely the thermal fuse which is causing the problem. It gets up to operating temp then shuts down.

Posted a short while ago but have more information Mitsubishi DLP WD 52725 - sound no picture - blinks 3 short times and 1 long time

have you checked the lamp? with those models they will power up and if the lamp is bad you can hear audio until the tv shuts off. the lamp is located in the front behind the speaker grill assembly. if the "status" light is blinking then you are having a fan failure if the "lamp" light is on then check the lamp like i listed above.

Have a Mitsubishi 52725 52" DLP The TV shuts off frequently. It tells you "the TV with shut off in 30 seconds". It seems warm but I have a fan in the rear to cool it down but sometimes it still...

does it give you the "airflow" message?
if so it needs a new thermal sensor by the lamp, known issue defective sensor..

if not, suspect bad capacitors
there are many bad caps across 3 board , all part of the chassis.
a repair center will ship the chassis into mits for rebuild, about 400 or 500 total bill

Blue Screen and then shuts off.

Is the LED blinking a 2 digit code? Let me know mitsubishi will blink a repeating diagnostic code when theset goes into shutdown. Which is what your set is doing. let me know if you can distinquish a blink code from the LED.

TV just shuts itself off after 1/2 hr to 2 hrs ...

resolder the horizontal driver transformer and all of the coils that start with "L77xx" on the left side of the sweep board, there is also a jumper staple just above L7711 that must be soldered it does not have a designation number but you`ll see the solder is bad on one end, very common issue with your model.
