Homelite xl chainsaw won't start. I took out spark plug, put in some fuel and if fired right up. But won't run.

You need to clean out the carb. possibly replace the Needle Valve and check the Diaphram for stiffness. Also check the fuel line for cracks and rott.

Car won't start 2003 Dodge Stratus sxt coupe cranks but won't start what could b the problem? I tried spraying starting fluid in the air system but it still won't start!

i would check and see if spark pluges are firing. you can take one out and plug into spark plug wire then let the bottom of the plug sit on engine and get someone to try to start while you look at the plug to see if there is any fire. if you have no fire or fuel it would be the crankshaft sencer. it could be the timing belt but the motor would sound different turning over then it used to.

Won't start. Drained old fuel and added fresh; cleaned in-tank fuel filter; cleaned plug. Still won't start

i would take the plug out and and the spark plug wire on the plug and try cranking it over and make the plug is firing if there is no fire then the ignition coil is dead but if you have fire then its a carb problem rarely ever a timing considering most mowers are timed with key ways which prevent them from jumping time.but if you have fire your good their but my overall suggestion is to rebuild the carb and swap out the spark plug if the mower has set for a period of 6 months or longer.

Get fire every where else but through distributor and plugs spins over fine changed distributor, plug wires, coil, and ignition coil and still won't start what else to do i checked for bad grounds and...

You have problem with you timing or did you ever label all the high tension wire before you unplug it. it might be re arrange the firing sequence. 1342 firing order. And the timing position of the distributor were at original place.

Truck wont crank. we have put new distributor cap, rotor button, coil pack, plugs, wires, and fuel pump. we also checked our firing order.

you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.
