How do I go from watching a DVD to watch my netflix

Blu-ray players stream the same HD video as other Netflix-ready devices. Netflix streaming video works with several Blu-ray player brands -- including LG, Magnavox, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba and others -- and any Blu-ray device plays Blu-ray discs from Netflix.

I have a BDP S-350 blu-ray player that just started having a problem playing a couple of blu-ray discs that I get from Netflix. The disc will load and start then will stop playing after about 10 seconds....

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in playing the new Blu-ray disc in the Sony Blu-ray Player.

In most cases, the issue might be with the Java content on the new Blu-ray discs is making these issues. The Blu-ray technology is developing everyday and adding more and more features to the existing technology. Hence it is required to make the Blu-ray Player up-to-date by installing the latest firmware update available from the manufacturer (who ever it is).

Going ahead with the first step, please install the latest firmware update available for the Blu-ray Player.

Please click the following link to get the latest firmware update available for your Blu-ray Player:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?upd_id=6385&os_id=99&mdl=BDPS350

I'm sure, installing the firmware update should resolve the issue. If you need any further clarification/assistance, please let me know.

Thanks for understanding.

I have Insignia Blu-ray DVD player and a membership with Netflix. My DVD player references Netflix download coming soon in order to stream movies straight to the DVD player. Is that download available?

This model, NS-BRDVD, is not Netflix capable. Models NS-BRDVD3, NS-WBRDVD, and NS-BRHTIB are, however. A firmware update may be required when first setting up your player for best functionality.

subh_samsung.gif 1) On your TV, select "Netflix" from the main screen.
(You may be asked to install a firmware update. If so, select "yes")
2) Select "Activate".

4) Click the button below to enter the activation code on the Netflix website.

Unstable at start up

I assume you have a wireless or Ethernet connection for your BDP1600? It may not be working and the first thing your player needs to do is get a firmware update and this won't happen if you do not have an Internet connection. If you do have an Internet connection, look to see if there is some sort of "software update" button somewhere within the tv-based menu system.
