Volume Issues Have a pair of identical units, one RX at a loud volume - like expected - and the other RX at less than half the volume of the first one mentioned. Both volumes are turned up all the way and the voice used to TX is at the same volume. Thanks

A few things which come to mind:

1) Check your settings to be certain you are not mixing wideband and narrowband. Many modern radios have both built in. After Jan. 2013 nearly all radios in the USA were mandated to migrate to narrowband. Mixing the two can cause the exact problem you described.

2) Check your radios' mic and speaker area. Be certain there is nothing covering either and no debris stuck in the holes or grill.

3) You might have a bad speaker on the low volume radio or a bad mic on the transmitting radio. One way to check this is to introduce a known good 3rd radio into the mix.

Best regards.

Volume decreases during use

Very simple. It is not a defective unit. Simply a matter of volume attenuation, hold the "function" and "grove"keys for aprox 5 seconds until a message saying vac off appears. Problem solved. Resets itself eveytime the unit is turned off .
enjoy!!!

My RX-V567 (about 3 months old) has some problem with the sound output. Sometimes when it is turned on, it gets very loud even though the volume is set at around -48 db. And when I turn down the volume, it...

Your volume control is not tracking properly. Might want to clean out the control chemically.

Check the surround on the subwoofer speaker. If it has self destructed the surround needs to be replaced.

Yesterday i have bought a brand new CD 740 A and 650 C. Both the things where fixed with Bose AM5. It sounds really good. when the volume is increased more than half, the loudness too increases. is there...

Please note that you volume control increases in a logarithmic scale, in simple words it increases in a doubling scale eg: 2,4,8,16,32,64------------. So if your half volume is 16watts per channel the next increase is 32 and the next 64 so on. So don't be surprised if after half volume it suddenly starts getting very loud. There is nothing you can do about it.

HOW DO I TURN UP THE VOLUME

Users will continually need to quickly change the volume on a TOMTOM units, depending on the loudness of traffic noise, the radio or conversations. Although there are no external volume controls, the volume on the ONE can be easily accessed on screen by touching the bottom left corner of the map display. Once the volume controller appears you just slide your finger to increase or decrease volume. We found the audio levels a little softer on this unit and had to set the volume to around 60% or 70% in order to clearly hear it.

Connecting 6 pair of speakers (12 total) via one stereo receiver

His receiver has enough power all 6 pairs of speakers, however, he should use a speaker selector switch. Niles is very well built and you can find them with an "on/off" button for each pair, and they have models that will independantly conrol volume as well. (SSVC-6) For a good unit, expect to pay from $250-$400. They will keep the unit at an 8ohm load and not over tax the receivers power supply.
Hope this helps

The Output Volume Is Extremely Low!

Sometimes the rear channels can be used as a 2nd zone. Does the unit have A&B speaker selection on front panel? Usually if it has a 2nd zone it will say in owerns manual or on back of unit or on front panel as well. That is when you have the option to adjust the volume in the menu on the 2nd zone. GURU JAY

Turning volume up on my Denon AVR-485 AMP causes it to turn off

Speaker Impedance:
When speaker systems A and B are used separately, speakers with an impedance of 6 to 16 ohms can be connected for use as front speakers
Be careful when using two pairs of front speakers (A + B) at the same time if their impedance is less than 12 ohms.
The protector circuit may be activated of the set is played for long periods of time at high volumes with an impedance lower than specified are connected.
