Watching a YouTube video on how to use Hot Rollers would be a good idea. I found several for you to see, and she's using Conair rollers, also the same kind I have. I know the clips are difficult to work with but this might help give you some tips! Good luck! My Everyday Hair Tutorial Hot Rollers

When I owned and used a set of these, probably Conair,
I did add a small amount of water to the well. This was in the early 80's.

did u try pressing the trouble shooter on the cord if that dosent work
