Had this problem on my last computer which was on the same network I'm currently using. I am able to use the voice chat on yahoo for maybe 2-5 seconds before the person I'm talking to all of a sudden can't hear me, nor is my mic giving any sound input according to the mic status bar in the messenger. Voice conference works perfectly thought is quite scratchy so I would like to use the calling feature. Voice chat works on Windows Live messenger if that even matters. Just wondered if there was maybe something on my router that I needed to enable or disable? Well, just saying, the problem isn't getting on the voice chat with me, its getting the person to hear me and non-stop. Any help would be much appreciated.
(Not an OS issue. I'm running windows 7 RC right now and it did this same exact thing on my last comp, which ran windows XP)

Web Camera’s have to be
setup on the program they are to be used with.
Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to
broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for
the Audio and Video to function properly.

what operating system do you have yahoo messenger works best in xp pro any other operating system won't have all the working features if you have xp pro then uninstall all yahoo related then reinstall after you reboot you system after all files are uninstalled.
