Dell 1525 laptop keeps freezing

My dell inspiron 1525 keeps freezing. I turn it on and it starts up just fine but when i start doing things on it like opening internet explorer or i tunes it will freeze and sometimes when I do open Itunes it will play the song and then just freeze right in the middle of the song for no apparent reason, I then do a hard shut down wait ten seconds and turn the computer on again. When I turn it on i choose the decision run windows normally and it will start setting up and then the screen will go all black and say it needs to check the disk, i will let check the disk and it comes up with no problems. I have tried system restore. I have tried antivirus programs. Nothing seems to be working, even the computer i am on which is a compaq windows XP is doin the same thing. Please help!

Delete all unsed data, erase cookies and browser history, disk defrag, virus scan. It might help if you boot in safe mode to do this.

My Dell Inspiron 1525 wont load up

I'd suggest first removing your memory modules and reinsert one at a time.

But, I think your operating system is compromised, due to Spyware, etc.

Since your system won't boot in Safe Mode, your only other option is to repair or reinstall your operating system.

Hope this helps.

Slow computer

I'd speak to them again, sounds like you have a faulty stick of RAM, if it freezes then it usually means one of the hex sections of the stick isn't working correctly.

My dell Crashes within minutes of turning it on!

This could be a multitude of things, but the first thing that comes to mind is an overheating problem.

To rule out other things, remove and reseat the RAM, HDD, CD/HDD drive, Battery, Wi-Fi/BlueTooth mini adapters, etc.

Also, for further clarification, is there any error indicated on the screen prior to the machine turning off?

Thanks,
Rob
