Hi, the new style tools do not fit old style mixers, yours probably had the small circlip on the shaft, the new ones dont have this, and it's this what held your tool in place

Blakeslee A717 Commercial Mixer With 7 Quart Bowl. The snap ring on the dough hook doesn't hold.

It is not a make I have heard of before, which is odd, because I spent 50 years in catering and hospitality. Parts are available according to this. Getting to the snap ring would be the issue. You may be able to pull the old one out with a right angle pick and push the new one in.

Hobart h 600 mixer dough hook keeps coming off during operation. What would cause this

Take a look where the agitator pin engages with the dough hook.
Either the agitator pin (sticks out from the agitator shaft) is worn out or the groove in the dough hook where the pin should sit has elongated and worn. Either pin replacement is in order or new hook is required...possibly both.

Help with removal of Dough Hook on A200.

Force and a torch is your path.

First cut a block of wood that is of a length that is long enough to go from the column to the attachment portion of the planetary. (The block protects the gears from the force.)

Look at the rotation of the hook, you're going to twist it the opposite direction. Above the hook, loop a strand of a wet towel. While keeping the towel damp, not wet, torch the **** out of the hook. I recommend "mapp" gas. Heat it for about 90 seconds to to 2 minutes. The old dough stuck inside will burn off. You should get some black smoke. Use the block of wood, between the attachment portion of the planetary and the column, to resist the twist of the hook. If the wood is properly placed to absorb the load --- dampen towel, torch, block, TWIST. If you use a wrench -- be cautious. Good luck -- Mike

Dough hook

if you r using it for dough use the roller and scraper it works much better. But if u want to use the dough hook the holes in the middle is where the knob and stick in the arm go into to hold the hook inplace and it also goes in the hole on the side near the scraper hope this helps

Bosch aluminum dough hook has black coating

the problem is where the pin on the beater shaft locks into the hook may be wearing down or the hook itself.when you put the hook on see if you get alot of play in the hook (wiggle it and if it feels really loose its worn).its still safe to use but eventually (and this may be quite sometime) the pin may break off the beater shaft.you would then have to replace the pin and hook.

Hobart p660

There are 2 set screws.Make sure their both out,if for some reason there is only 1 set screw these are your options.Heat the shaft and remaining pin with a mapp torch (you can buy them at home depot, lowes for $40 bucks),heat it up really good then get a punch and try to knock out the pin, option 2---if you cant get the pin out then youll have to replace the shaft and if thats the case you should also clean out the planetary and replace the bearings and seals. If the hole in the shaft is oblongated or worn you should probably replace the shaft because the dough hook will rock the pin back and forth breaking the pin. Also look inside the hook and make sure thatI its not worn out where the pin sets.IF you see thee hook or shaft pinhole worn you will break the pin again if you are able to replace the pin.I work for hobart and service mixers regulary,if you need part numbers or advise let me know.
