Viber activation error

Installing on a PC or Mac for the first time.The first time you install your McAfee software, our account management dashboard will help you get started.

1. Open a web browser and go to http://home.mcafee.com.
2. Click Log In.
3. Type your email address and password, and click Log In.

6. Read the End User License Agreement (EULA) and check the box beside I've read and accept the McAfee License Agreement to accept the terms and continue to the download and installation.
7. If a serial number displays, make a note of it, as you may be prompted to enter this later.
8. Follow the onscreen instructions to install and configure your McAfee software on your computer.
   
   (You can also select additional protection products, such as Family Protection.)

Installing to additional computersAfter your first installation, you can install to additional devices (providing you purchased enough licenses).

1. Log in to your McAfee account at http://home.mcafee.com from the computer you want to protect.
2. Click the (+) icon.
   
   An install helper automatically displays to give you quick access to protect your devices.
3. Select the operating system you are currently using and click Continue.
4. Select the product you want to install and follow the onscreen instructions.
   
   You can also select additional protection products, such as Family Protection.

Installing on a mobile device

1. Open a web browser and go to http://home.mcafee.com.
2. Click Log In.
3. Type your email address and password, and click Log In.
   
   If you do not have a McAfee account, select New User? Register Now, follow the prompts to create your McAfee account, and then click Log In.
   
   If you want the website to remember your user name in the future, select Remember Me.
4. Click My Account.
5. Select the type of mobile device you want to protect and click Send Link.
6. Select the mobile device platform and the product you want to install.
7. Click Next.
8. Select your country and type your mobile phone number or device nickname (for tablets).
   
   The link to download your software is then sent to your device using SMS or email.
9. Follow the link sent to your device to install.
   
   Ensure you use the same phone number and email address during activation.

After your installation is complete, your McAfee product(s) can be accessed using the shield icon on the taskbar (PC), the dashboard (Mac), or the home screen on your tablet or mobile device.

Redeeming a retail card / Activating your subscription:

1. Open a web browser and go to the URL listed on your retail card.
2. Select your country and language from the drop-down menu.
   
   NOTE: While the registration page attempts to select the correct region, the data chosen may be incorrect. Confirm that the information is correct before you continue.
3. Type the registration number from your retail card.
4. Type your email address and click Submit.
5. Ensure your email address is correct, then click Verify.
   
   NOTE: If your email address is incorrect, click Edit to return to the previous screen, correct your email address, then click Verify to continue.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a McAfee account and use the installation steps above.

Two things to try. Go through your contacts list and ensure that your contacts' numbers have their respective country code (i.e. instead of 912-555-1234, have +1-912-555-1234 for someone in the US). This is particularly important if your contacts are in a different country than the registered phone number on your Viber account.

Another option that kind of bypasses it: from the Viber messaging screen (the tab with the little message bubble), click the add conversation button (bottom left corner, looks like a message bubble with a plus sign). Manually input a phone number you know has Viber, including the +country code. Check the Add # button, then press Done up in the top right of the screen. You can now start a conversation with this number.

1. Check the Network Connection.
   1. Using the supplied remote, press the Home or Menu button.
   2. Select Network Setup .
   3. Select View Network Status .
   4. Select Check Connection .
   If any of the connection settings fail, verify that the TV is properly connected to an active Internet connection.
   Follow these steps, if the error continues to appear:

3. Power on and off all of the networking equipment, including the modem and router.
4. Allow the Networking equipment to reset after powering them of and on. Test that the connection is active by using a computer.
5. If the issue continues, wait and try viewing the content later.

To get Viber application, you need to sign up to be a beta-tester first.

After subscribing at http://viber.us2.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=cebf43dfd2dac36081a3f614e&id=c187e76325 You simply need to wait several weeks from our invitation email. Once you get it, you will be asked to fill out a form verifying the same details as the original subscription, and then you will be sent to download the APK and complete your installation.

If you get the APK without following this exact procedure (in the *exact* same order), you will NOT be able to activate.

Once you request to be a beta tester, you will receive a confirmation email from us. This not the actual invitation to download!
When you receive your invitation (within a few days) with your unique download link, continue with the following:

1. On your PC [use a browser other than Internet Explorer eg., Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.], click on the download link at the bottom of the webpage (the link to this webpage will be sent to you in the invitation), and save the Viber.apk file. The apk file must download completely.
2. In order to allow the installations of non-Market applications, you'll need to update your android settings. On the Application Settings screen you'll see a selection titled "Unknown sources" which allows you to install non-Market applications. Make sure the option is checked. If not tap the checkbox. 3. Pass the file to your Android device, onto the SD card, and use your device file manager to install the file. If you do not have a file manager installed on your Android device, you may download one for free from the app market (for example: Astro file manager). If this fails, please try step 4.
4. After making sure that you have allowed non-Market applications on your Android device settings, as mentioned above, using your phone's browser, download the Viber.apk file directly into your Android phone. If this fails, please try step 5.
6. Download the Viber.apk file to your PC [use a browser other than Internet Explorer, eg., Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.]. Then attach it to an email, and send it to the email account which you use on your Android device. When you receive the email on your device, just click on the file attachment, and it will install.

From there, just follow the on screen instructions:
Once installed, on the Welcome screen, tap on 'Continue'.Tap 'OK' or 'Allow' on the following pop up notifications: Allow access to the address book.Choose your country and then type in your phone number with the cell prefix included, then tap on 'Continue'.Within 60 sec. you will receive an SMS with an access code. Enter the access code in the Viber Setup screen and click on 'Enter'.
