Any piece of wireless hardware like a mouse of keyboard usually has a mating switch on it that you press to allow it to mate with the usb receiver plugged into the computer.

Press this and within a few seconds the mouse will work once again.

Cannot re-install software

Sounds like the uninstall process has caused a rigistry error, presumably you are using windows.
Try a registry cleaner. Try CC Cleaner it is a decent product that cleanses gently and may restor your registry, you maust remember to back it up though, in case the restore goes wrong..

The application can be downloaded free online, try cnet or softpedia

Alternatively, you can try rolling bak your OS with windows recovery, to a time when the software was not installed ?

Who do i install a GE wireless optical mouse 98150 on my g60-645nr hp notebook

Connect the wireless transmitter to your usb port. On the bottom of the transmitter there is a button press and hold this button, then at the same time push and hold button on the bottom of the mouse. Hold them for 10 full slow seconds and they will sync up and be ready to use.
(remember to press and hold the transmitter down about 2 seconds earlier then the mouse button)

Can you install a cordless mouse to any computer?

Hi most cordless mouse or keyboard use a usb adaptor you plug this into a usb port on your computer then press a button usually on the bottom of the mouse and then this connects it with your computer, if you buy them new you should get a installation cd with it and just run this in your computer and you should then have no problems

so to answer your question yes any wireless mouse or keyboard will work with any computer as long as your usb ports are working,

you should have no problems as long as you follow the installation instructions that come with the mouse, follow those and you will be up and running in no time, just remember you need to change the batteries every 6 to 12 months to ensure it keeps working at its best.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

How do I install/begin using wireless mouse? It worked before then batteries ran out and I can't remember if I need a disc to re-install.

Most Logitech wireless mouse are just Plug-n-Play and it does not require any driver installation. All you have to do is to plug the wireless dongle to the computer and connect the mouse. Here's what you need to do:

1. Make sure that the batteries are fresh or fully charged.
2. Turn ON the mouse using the switch button.
3. Locate the connect button on the dongle (receiver) and then press it once.
4. Hold down the connect button underneath the mouse for 5 secs. and then release it. And the mouse should work.

If the mouse is not responding, then hold down the connect button on the dongle and on the mouse at the same time for 5 secs. and then release them both. Move the mouse around.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

My computer won't boot up all the way when mouse is plugged in. when it is not plugged in it will start up but i don't have a mouse

Need to be more precise.
You say....' it wont boot up with mouse in but when unplugged it will...'
So have you or havent you got a mouse plugged in, if yes then try another mouse or check that you have installed in the correct socket if ps2 type or try a different USB slot
