SOURCE: Keyboard connectivity

Yes the voltage on my keyboard has to be 1.5v or greater per cell to get it to work well with my keyboard. Fresh alkaline won't hold 1.5v very long. And I like rechargables and they never get to 1.5v per cell. So I added a third AA battery and run rechargables. Now it works until the cells drop to 1.0v each.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

You can download any Logitec software needed from the manufacturer's site. The mouse and keyboard will automatically be recognized by Windows, though.

Problems installing Mi Micro wireless mouse, model number KB985W. My operating system XP Home is asking for the CD (software) disk which I do not have. Where is a supporting website to download software...

Check to see if you've got the latest service pack for XP Home installed. You should be on service pack 3. Download and install from the Microsoft website. This may sort out your problem.

Keyboard not working

To connect the keyboard or mouse to the computer, you must connect the wireless device through the USB port and get it to hold a good connection. You do not have to install any devices to use these products, they automatically work when you plug them in. When it says that the device is recognized, you are ready to use it! If you have a desktop, you can also plug the wireless device to the mouse port. The keyboard and mouse work properly up to 5' away from the connected wireless device. If you can get the wireless device to work properly, you should have no troubles with the product.
