First of all, are the lines that you want forwarded the main telephone lines?
There is programming so that if you cannot answer the calls before a certain time like 3 rings, to forward to a ring group where other people can answer the calls for you. But that would have to be programmed via the Mitel System.
If they are calls that ring in on your intercom buttons, that can be forwarded via the Blue Superkey and Forward NA (no answer).First of all, are the lines that you want forwarded the main telephone lines?

Contact your system administrator or system vendor and have the time on the phone system adjusted. Time is a system wide setting. The newest version of the 3300ICP/MCD allows the time to automatically adjust - you should get the system upgraded.
You will need your system administrator to change the call reroute assignment of your phone, or you have call forwarding active to a location the system can not route a call to. Either scenario your phone administrator can resolve quite easily.
You will have to get the Mitel Programmer to program a button that can do that for you.
Mitel systems are amazing, but unfortunately most things have to be programmed to do what you want.
You have a feature active on your phone it's more than likely a call forward feature which would redirect you calls. The broken dial tone or stutter dial tone is an indicator a feature is active. Contact you system admin for the clear all feature code and the clear all call forwarding codes.
To Restore Factory Default Settings:
1. Press both Up and Down Arrow keys simultaneously while powering up the
phone. NETWORK SETTINGS? appears
2. Press NO until TOOLS & FEATURES appears and then press YES.
3. Press NO until RESTORE DEFAULTS? appears and then press YES.
4. Press CONFIRM. The phone resets with default settings.
Ascertain from your system administrator the directed call pickup feature access code, this will allow you to pickup any ringing call as long as you know what ext number is ringing.
WOW
Ok this post is OLD, but for anyone else having this issue, this is the solution...
There is a programming feature that states: DELAYED RING on certain lines, meaning you can physically see a call coming in to the system (via line flashing), but it will not ring at your desk till something like the 4th ring(hence the name DELAYED ring).
If your set does not ring, and you pick up the heandset, the phone system doesn't know if you want to answer the call -or- you just want to make an outgoing call...
Therefore the Mitel system picks up internal dialtone and waits for you to make the initial reaction (hit 9 for a line out or hit a line that is flashing on the set).
Too change this option, a Mitel Tech is required...
I was hoping we could do it from the mainline. I will contact our programmer to do this.
Thank you for your response!
