Monitor control panel comes up for no apparent reason. Begins to rotate between options without any user input. If I hit the power button, the rotation stops, and the monitor remains on. Have already reset...

This sounds like a problem with one or more of the buttons on the monitor itself being stuck on, or a fault in the circuitry connected with the buttons.

Check for grit etc. in the buttons, maybe try cleaning with a soft brush while unplugged from power.

My Planar PL1910M monitor will not show pictures on the monitor. All connections were checked and power is going to the unit. The power button stays green typically but on occasion will flash yellow. This...

Hi,

first of all the problem is not with the monitor...
its probably a corrupted BIOS
(basic i/p o/p systems) its the chip in the motherboard which stores the configuration of your system...

one way to get around this is to,
open the case of your CPU
then on the motherboard there will be a small battery, which is called the CMOS battery ...
take out the battery from its slot...
after a minute put it back in the slot..

now you shold be able to work fine because the BIOS loads with default setting...

if this one works please give a vote

Monitor say Input not supported. What does this

Your graphics card is set to a resolution of refresh rate that your monitor cannot handle, This can sometimes be one of the normal settings - there is not much you can do. Each monitor has a native resolution which the monitor should always be set at yours is:- 1280X1024

No sound - looks like I need some sort of cable as the blue plugin in the back is the same as blue plugin in back of computer?

Yes, if your monitor has built in speakers, you will still need a cable running from your computer to your monitor.

Planar 19'' model #PE1901BK---REMOVE THE BACK PANEL.

Check to see if the various connectors are mounted on a separate subpanel that is independent of the back cover or if you must perhaps remove some of the protruding connector hardware. The 'F' connectors (the threaded coaxial type for cable or antenna input) for example, may have a fairly large diameter (but thin) nut securing them.
