I purchased a used car with an after market IVA-D310 system. the screen shows a navigation option. when i push on the nav. it doesn't show anything but a blank screen. do i need to purchase a nav disk for this, and if so, which one do i need to purchase?
You need the navigation system NVE-N872A. I have one I might sell. Make me an offer. They are $1700 new. If I don't sell it I am putting it in my porsche but then I need to buy the IVA-D310 that you have. Maybe you want to sell that unit to me? Let me know.
The nav feature is purchased separatly with the deck, the previous owner did not purchase it because at the time alpine was charging an extra $1000 on top of the price of the deck to add nav. This is due to the fact that alpine decided to use there own reasearch and development team to design a nav system where as kenwood baught the rights to use garmin's technology and put there name on it which they only charge $400 on top of the price of head unit to add nav.
