I have a Mambo Mano MP3 player with 2 GHz memory.I have figured out everything EXCEPT the e-book reader! # 1. Does anyone know what type format is required for e-books to work? There are 10 or more e-book formats. Also # 2 I have tried everything I can, trying to understand the **&(%%%$!!& Chinese instruction manual that comes with it. I have found 3 different ones and all are useless!!! I have also been trying to upgrade the firmware! Any help here would be appreciated as well. #3 Is there a way to reformat the player back to the original factory specs? Any help on any item would be wonderful. Thank you, Nightfire
Go to www.kasercorp.com and download the manual. if the answer's not there, try submitting a question to tech support or calling the company. I think they are in Oakland, CA
Here is my solution: 1. Convert your document in text file with extension .txt 2. Copy your file in the main directory. It seems that this player is looking for files only in the main directory. 3. Start your player in E-BOOK mode. Now you should be able to see your document , select it and press play button. It is working fine for me.
Dude your a fu#kin retard, its Gb gigabyte, okay? Also its not upgrade the firmware its update Ghz refers to gigahertz, which is proccesor speed, like AMD or Intel[AMD is much better btw] Oh and Knightfire, if you have a friend with this item, then try to copy his folders, [if its the same item] onto yours, or try to update the software, that might repair it.
Txt format only.

Hi digital2life,
I thank you for responding. I did read that the player did use .txt format also but: I have no idea how to install the .txt into the player. Do you have to upload it straight to the player or drop a file into a folder? Where would I get a e-book .txt file do you know?
I also think I need to reformat the player. I had messed around with buttons and had set the Movies to INTRO accidentally and they would stop after about 7 seconds. So I had the player hooked up and told it to reformat through "file" and there were no folders I had to remake them. I think this messed it up too.
when I open the e-books folder it says ""EMPTY DISK"" there is no local folder or any other folder.... What do you think?? Thanks Knightfire..
I personally wasn't looking for the lecture and the sarcasm, your opinion of me is irrelevant. All I wanted was a fix for the player. I wish I did know someone with the same player and that might work by copying his folders. Thanks for the idea. Nightfire
