Goto auto shop. any name. grab a tube of permatex, blue red don't matter. this seals better then sillacone. sronger lasts longer. put a vare thin bead around the cover. NOT to much abut the same as the old seal. Now let that sit over night, be for putting it back together, or it'll be a real pain opening it back up. this will keep everything out. I've dun this more then once. good luck.

What is the noise on 2009 dodge charger hearing clunking noise when driving and when turning

Check out your CV axle and all steering components. Raise vehical, support it, have friend turn steerling wheel. While the friend is turning the wheel. Watch all moving parts Make sure the rubber boot is sealed. If seal is broken look for water in greese and broken, loose or wobbly pieces. If just water and little dirt. Remove axle, remove rubber boot, wash with parts cleaner, install new rubber boot, repack with fresh high temp bearing grease, seal boot, reinstall axle and now test drive. Now if you find more wrong replace with new.

From what you describing I would bet on CV Axle.

I can't get the cover off my grill light can you help

I had the same issue. There is a rubber O-ring that makes ti waterproof and is very tight when new. You twist counter-clockwise as per instructions and then use your thumbs from underneath the cover to pop up one side of the cover (and possibly work the other side as well) until the seal is broken. Once you open it once it gets much easier.

How do you change battery for casio 1174 CMD-40?

I like these little RC IR watches. They're great fun!!! For this tutorial, you will need....
  • A small Phillips heads screw driver
  • A pin (or needle)
  • A replacement CR2032 battery
Instructions :
  1. Remove the 4 screws from the back of the watch
  2. Carefully remove the back plate, do not damage the delicate rubber seal
  3. Carefully remove the delicate rubber seal
  4. Use the pin to remove the small rubber block from the battery cover clasp.
  5. The pin should then be inserted in the gap of the white plastic lug, where the rubber block was removed.
  6. Use the pin to gently pull back the clasp of the battery cover.
  7. The battery cover will then open with a 5mm gap approx. It does not need to be removed.
  8. Use the screwdriver to remove the battery.
  9. After the battery has been replaced, just follow the instructions backwards.
I hope this little tutorial has helped.

Need to replace thermostat on 2003 Honda Odyssey, and need directions. Can you help?

Drain the radiator by removing the drain plug on the lower right side. If the coolant is fairly new, save it and reuse it. While the radiator is draining, find the code for the car stereo. It should be in with the owner's manual or sales paperwork. (You will need this code later because you are going to disconnect the battery and remove it for access to the thermostat.) Remove the battery. Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine to locate the thermostat housing. Loosen the hose clamp and detach the hose. If it feels stuck, try to twist it first--then pull it off.Remove the thermostat cover bolts and detach the housing cover. If it is stuck, tap it with a soft-face hammer to jar it loose. Be prepared for some additional coolant to spill when the gasket seal is broken. Remove all traces of the old gasket. Install a new rubber seal over the new thermostat and install into the housing. Make sure the jiggle valve is on top and the spring side of the thermostat is directed into the engine. Replace the housing cover and bolt up. Replace the radiator hose. Replace the battery. Refill with coolant. Use the stereo code to get the radio to work.

Can't open battery compartment.

ashe 1977

there are two ways to fix this.
1- remove the bottom cover, take the rubber seal off from the battery compartment, remove the battery then soak the bottom cover in vinegar overnite. this will remove all corrosion. remove the battery cap and clean the threads. completely dry the cap and bottom cover, apply WD40 to battery cover threads. clean battery contact with pencil eraser ( carefully ). reinstall the rubber seal, replace bottom cover.------ best fix.

2- this may not work but it's worth a try. just apply ( carefully ) WD40 around battery cap and let it set for about an hour, re-apply and wait another half hour. If this doesn't work refer to # 1
