I have a sanyo the sound quit what could it be

There is button on your remote labeled TV/AV . Press the button to get a blank screen with AV written on the screen. If your game device is connected at the back to this AV socket ( Yellow / Red / White ) you will see the game menu display.
On some of the TV remotes it might not be written TV/AV but INPUT SOURCE or just a picture of a TV screen with an arrow pointing inwards ( that LOGO is the universal symbol for INPUT )

If this is a standard tv, then there are two bad caps. Near the powerline regulator on either side. Look for a 160volt 1MF cap and on the other end a 160volt 4.7MF cap. I don't know the particular model, but you will be searching the horizontal deflection. Is the fuse good? If not you will have to replace the horizontal transistor and look for two, 2 watt resisors at 12ohms and a new fuse as well. Can you do it?

On the Sanyo remote there is a button TV/VCR. Press that button

If you have tried on the remote you can try in the buttons on your tv it must have a button that can unmute your tv. Try to high the level of the volume... Message if this not help you.

Did you goto the MENU to access the different controls ?
Brightness, contrast, color, tint hue ??
There is always a way without the remote control [R/C] to get at these controls.

Most universal remotes should have a TV/Video button. Look carefully on the remote. Or get another brand remote.

Also depending on your Sanyo model there may be a TV/Video switch on the front of the set. Look for a possible small cover along the bottom.
