Bogen 3063 head removal - Bogen Manfrotto 3130 Micro Fluid QR Head Tripod Head

Go to http://www.bogentripodparts.com/repairs.htm and the top right video shows how to remove and replace the head.

So what is the problem?

they don't use fluid - maybe some grease in the tilt and pan of the head, but the tripod itself doesn't need any.. you might need an adjustment somewhere... I own 3 of these.

Remove the e clip that holds the screw in place.

Below the head where it attached to the center column is a set of three screws. Back them out a little bit and then tighten the head, then screw those three grub screws back in to lock the head.

Raise the center column all the way up. Under the head next to the center column are at least 2 or 3 screws. Back them out uing a meduim slotted screw driver. The head should then screw off.

I"ve owned four pistol grip heads, and eventually they all do this. They simple wear out.

You can send it to Bogen, and for about $35, they'll ship you a reconditioned replacement.
