Can't delete recent text message contacts on Sanyo phone

Simply delete the messages. There is no Un-Delete or saved history.
You can also go to recent calls and delete numbers that you have called or that have called you.

If only Tiger Woods knew about fixya....

try to open your call manager or call log menu. once open, you can see the list of people whom contacted you and whom you contacted, there's a call log list, press it and it will give you a drop down menu, which will filter the people, select sent messages and it will give you the list people whom you texted, from there you can delete them and they will be removed from your recent contacts.

Though iPhone uses quite a different storage mechanism, still you can recover deleted or lost data (such as text messages, voice mail, contacts, photos etc) with a third party specific iPhone data recovery software called Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery. I used it to recover deleted voice mails from iPhone 4s and it worked.

To erase the recent recipients list, you must do a master reset of the phone. This will erase all texts, alarms, and any other personal settings you set on the phone, but it will erase your recent recipients. This is the ONLY reliable method I found

Click on messaging icon from main menu.
Click send message.
Instead of clicking text message click on pic/video message.
then you have 4 options TO: CONTACTS , TO Mobile#, To Email, And finally To Recent lict. Click on recent list and checkmark all the numbers you want deleted then click options bottom right corner then click delete.....

Go to the messaging menu choose send message then go to Voice SMS or Picture Mail, okay then choose Recent List there you should see the recent contact you have texted to select the ones you want to delete and press options there you can delete the selected or delete all.

I took a wack at it and it took me an hour to figure it out. thank u so much for trying to help. I guess my message wasnt clear enough though. The phone is not storing my "messages", I'm not having a problem with that, I can clear them, no problem. Its the "recent log" under the "add recipients" that does not clear. The "recent log" stores all the numbers you ever text messaged to. I want to clear the #'s that I've text messaged to, not regular calls, thats easy to clear. For some reason this phone stores all the #'s that you text to. If you can figure it out, i'll give u a million dollars!!! just joking of course.
