Is it a wi-fi network?
Then try first to reboot your galaxy.
If it still doesn't work, try to reboot the router. This solves 99% of these irrational problems.

U be able to take it to Verizon. Theyll plug it up to their computer and transfer everything over I believe

down load a soun bite app and set a sound as your notification alerts hopfull this workes for you

Connect to pc with usb cable and delete from within explorer.

When you started your contract, the provider should have sent a text with their settings for your phone to work with them. You have to activate this text to activate those settings. If you check your providers web site you can check what these settings should be. Or you can phone your providers helpline to either resend the text or check your settings with you.

Otherwise it could be just a poor signal problem. A great phone signal doesn't mean you will have a good 3G signal.

first you swich off your mobile

Take off the rubber tip and with gentle but firm pressure slowly bend the tip between thumb and forefinger towards you. The cap and tips are not glued and are held in place by two clips which break easily so be careful! Hold the bud upright with the Klipsch logos facing away from you and bend the tip towards you. They actually separate really easily. When finished they just clip back into place.
