I have a sanyo dvw-7000 combo and the clock display simply went blank..cannot turn on power either with remote or manually...is there a power supply fuse inside?..no strain on power cord...just quit..
I had the same problem and could only reset the clock by unplugging the cord and then plugging the unit back in, but the display would go off again days or hours later. I kept unplugging and resetting it each time and it finally stopped on its own. Hope this helps vintage-38

Check the circuit breaker. plug something into the outlet that you know works and see if it turns on.
dont think that there is a fuse inside. If the cables seems good ( ohm it out) then the unit might be shot. sorry...

Hi, if ithere is no button on the front of the unit or on the remote, then simply setting the unit to standby with either power button should make the unit enter the timer record mode. (This will be indicated with TIMER or a small red clock symbol in the display providing all the conditions have ben met. i..e clock & timer correctly set, tape in machine, etc)
Your universal remote would have seperate selection buttons for VCR and DVD. If you don't have a VCR button, use AUX. Try programming each function seperately - DVD code for your manufactirer on the DVD button and VCR code for your manufacturer on the VCR button.
I have a Sanyo Dvd/vhs player and I recentlty went to dish network instead of cable and I do not know how to get the player to work now so I can watch movies that I have rented. Can you tell me how to use the remote to watch movies.
