Nikon SB-600 during middle of the shoot, sb600 stopped flash, and test flash light is no, ready light is off, after awhile, standby mode kicks in, and it displayed bat, so I recharge battery and tried it again, same problem, I doubt it that's cause by the battery, is there anything I could do at this point. I had this flash for about over one year now, but I don't use it frequently.

Yes. The contact points are the metal on the door and inside the battery compartment. If possible, clean the points in the compartment as well (though it is difficult).
