After setting data and time you are not ready. You still have to install lots of apps, but first you should setup a (wireless) internet connection to your wireless router. If you don't own an wireless router and you don't have an internet conniption in your house, these things you have to install first.
While installing, setup a security login and write down the settings and password for your connection. You need that to connect your tablet.
The title of your inquiry contains router Westell Wirespeed ProLine 6100. Your question appears to be related to a hot water heater. You may want to revise and resubmit your inquiry so that it is placed in the correct water heater section as the router section appears to be the incorrect place.
You should go into the device manager and verify....
1) That the device exsits under the Network Adaptors Tree
2) If it does make sure its installed (no yellow flag)
3) Make sure that its enabled (no red x)
As a side note (and this is ussually the issue) most laptops have a PHYSICAL switch to completely 'remove' the wireless adaptor from the laptop so you don't accidently enable or use wifi.
Make sure that switch is in position to use wifi. 90 Percent of the time this is the issue.
you can also activate it by going to control panel / network adaptors, right clicking on your wireless connection and enable.
OR control panel / network and sharing centre / change adaptor settings depending on your version of windows
