I want to clean my rival cf-160 deep fryer.The problem is that i want to take the black teflon part that holds the oil out so that i can thoroughly clean it.Do I have to lift the whole deep fryer to empty the oil out? Thank you.

It should come out, because you may have to replace it one day. You may find the screws for it on the bottom side of the vat. Does it not have a spout at the bottom of it ?
If I remember correctly, the manual that came with mine said that it is not removable. Pour out the oil and wipe the interior with a paper towel. (I wish it were removable!)
