Own a rival czf625 and the piece that locks the basket handle to make it able to be picked up has broken. I have tried all of the places I know to look to find a replacement with no luck. please let me know if you have any ideas how to fix the problem.

There is nothing better that some fish and chips but I don't think this fryer is the one for that. The reviews I have researched say it is unreliable and dangerous due to the lid pops of at high heat. Maybe you can return it for a refund I don't know. Wish I had better news for you but I don't. The best southern way to deep fry is in a cast iron pan. A BIG one! Season it and start cooking! Cholesterol? Whats that? Have a great day and hope this helped you.

Remove the oil bowl by lifting the bowl straight up out of the plastic exterior. To replace oil bowl, be sure the brass guide post (between the 2 electric prongs on the bottom of the bowl) is aligned properly with the center hole of the receptacle in the bottom of the housing. The brass guide post should guide the electric prongs into the correct position. Firmly press on bowl to ensure it is positioned properly.
