I locked the damn thing before i went on holiday and when i came back i gave it to a mate, he locked it up, i have the data backed up so a full wipe would be okay, i have no manuals so my question is;
how do i bypass security and wipe the device clean?

You can just enter the wrong password 10 times and it resets.

No, this problem needs resetting at a dealers. The unit needs connecting to a computer with the right software.
If it really yours then you should go to your dealer with the appropriate id or proof of purchase.
