The steps I should do for forgetting passwords when I use switches?

This needs to be discussed in different situations, you can check whether these situations can solve your current problem.
Scenario 1: All Default Passwords Are Changed and All Passwords Are Forgotten If you change all default passwords and forget the console port login password, all STelnet/Telnet login accounts and passwords, and BootROM/BootLoad passwords:
·For a switch that has the PNP button, you can press and hold the PNP button for more than 6 seconds to restore the switch to factory settings and restart the switch. The following figure shows the PNP button.
·If the switch does not have the PNP button, return it to the factory for repair.
Scenario 2: Default Passwords Are Forgotten For S series switches running V200R020 and later versions, no passwords are configured for default accounts, and users must configure new passwords for logging in to the switches. In this situation, scenario 2 is not involved.
However, for S series switches running versions earlier than V200R020, there is no default STelnet/Telnet login password, but there are default console port login password, default BootROM/BootLoad password, and default web login password. These default passwords may vary according to the switch version.
If you always use the default passwords and have not changed the passwords, you can obtain the default accounts and passwords according to S Series Switches Default Usernames and Passwords (for enterprise users or carrier users). The permission level of this document is C (customer support level). If you need to upgrade the permission level, see the help document on the website.
Scenario 3: The Console Port Login Password Is Forgotten Three methods are available to recover the console port login password.
·Method 1: Log in to the device using STelnet or Telnet and change the console port login password.
·Method 2: Clear the console port login password in the BootROM/BootLoad menu and change the console port login password.
Scenario 4: The STelnet/Telnet Login Password Is Forgotten ·If you forget the login password of an STelnet/Telnet account, you can use another STelnet/Telnet account with administrator rights to log in to the device and reset the password. For details, see Method 1.
·If you forget the passwords of all STelnet/Telnet accounts but can log in to the device through the console port, see Method 2.

Method 1: Use an STelnet/Telnet Account with Administrator Rights to Log In to the Device and Reset the Password

1.Log in to the switch using the STelnet/Telnet account with administrator rights.
2.Change the STelnet/Telnet login password. The following example describes how to change the STelnet/Telnet login password of VTY0 to VTY4.

Method 2: Log In to the Device Through the Console Port and Set a New STelnet/Telnet Login Password

If you forget the STelnet/Telnet login password but remember the console port login password, log in to the switch through the console port and set a new STelnet/Telnet login password.
Scenario 5: The BootROM/BootLoad Password Is Forgotten but the Console Port/STelnet/Telnet Login Is Available If you can log in to the switch through the console port, STelnet, or Telnet, log in to the switch and restore the default BootROM/BootLoad password. You can obtain the default accounts and passwords according to S Series Switches Default Usernames and Passwords (for enterprise users or carrier users). The permission level of this document is C (customer support level). If you need to upgrade the permission level, see the help document on the website.
Scenario 6: The Web Login Password Is Forgotten but the Console Port/STelnet/Telnet Login Is Available If you can log in to the switch through the console port, STelnet, or Telnet, log in to the switch and reset the web login password. In the following example, the web login user name is admin123 and the password is test@123.

Hi i have a d-link dwl-g700ap and i cant acces the wifi from my garmin-asus a50 nuvifone , i know its not the phone because i can connect on everyother network . please help

Go to your management software inside the access point. Default IP address is 192.168.0.50. If you changed it, go to that address with a browser. Default login with "Admin" without a password. If you set up a different administrator id and password then login with those credentials.

Go to the "Advanced" tab. The setting on the MAC address settings are important here. Hopefully you know how to get the MAC address of the phone. I don' have the same phone so I can't tell you how to get it. Ensure that you have entered in the phone's MAC address and any other devices that you connect wirelessly to. If you have registered the MAC address under the second radio button or you have the first radio button clicked, you have a WEP or other password issue. Many public access point don't filter any MAC address and don't require passwords. When setting up at home, you do have to at least these up.

Hope this helps.

What is my wifi password.. please help me.. i cant remember it .thankyou :)

Hi,

Please access router's configuration page by typing 192.168.1.1. on a browser's address bar and hit enter. You are supposed to get a login page. Please use default login credential using the info below.

Username: admin
Password: admin

If this username and password is rejected you may reset the router to its factory default settings by pressing the reset pin hole on the back of this device. You will need a paperclip to do it. Hold it down for 10 secs while the router is on. Leave it for about a minute and try accessing the configuration page and try the default username and password again.

As soon as you are logged on please look for a wireless settings tab. Look for the wireless key if it's all dots or asterisk you may go ahead and change it. Take note if there are some other wireless device connected to this router all of them will be disconnected but what you just have to do is to reconnect then using the new wireless key.

Thank you!

My company has not used our wireless connection in a long time and has forgot the passphrase to get into out hughes HN7700S Routor. is there a default one that we could use

Hi.

I checked, and there actually is a default one for you.

Unlike alot of other brands of satellite type modems, the Hughes corporation, being a large Government contractor decided to put a default login-password into all their machines.

Now, if your company has changed the password on it more than a couple of times, then this might not work.

First, you will need to open your browser, and in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1

This should access the router itself.

Next it will ask for a login and password.

Type in ADMIN as your login name, and leave either type in ADMIN again for the password blank.

Hughes says both of these ways should work, but you need to try them for yourself to see which one it is.

After you access the modem, then you can adjust the settings, change the password, and anything else that you wish to modify.

Just don't forget to wite eveything down that you change, otherwise you may make it where noone can access it at all.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day!

You can reset the D-Link back to the default settings by -
Power up the router press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router for 5 secs and release the button when the LEDs flash.
Connect a LAN cable from the computer to the D-Link.
Then open a browser and enter the router's configuration URL
http://192.168.0.1
the default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now go to the password setting to change the password.
