My havoc heli spins around and won't get off the ground and this is after the tail prop broke and i replaced it. i also noticed that the tail is broken. all of the troubleshooting sites i've been to don't list this as a possible problem. can anyone shed light on this???

Three solutions for you: 1- The little screw that tightens the upper set of plastic blades to the metal rod is loose. 2- The internal white gear that makes the big bottom black gear to spin is pushed too high, lower it using a small screwdriver. 3- The internal small white gear that spins the top black gear is too low, push it up with a screwdriver. Took me a full night to figure it out, now it flys perfect again.

There are three possible problems. 1- The top screw that tightens the blades to the shaft is loose. 2- The internal small white gear on the rear end of the heli is too high, push it down with a screw driver so that it is in good contact with the lower black gear. 3- The internal white small gear at the front of the heli is too low. Push it upwards fully so that it is in good contact with the upper black gear. Had the same problem now it flies perfect again. Controls are junk though :S

I had the same problem. There is a small set screw to tighten the top rotors to the shaft. I tightened that screw and copter then flew normally. This screw must be tightened periodically.

Hey John, Can you suggest which engine is to be taken and from where to make a helicopter for one person ?

A true helicopter is one of the more complex flying machines, pound for pound, that there is. And it is much more difficult to fly than a conventional fixed wing aircraft (about six times the workload for the pilot). Having said that, I am going to assume that you are thinking along the lines of "Hey, wouldn't it be great to put some parts together and have my own little helicopter for flying around." And yes, it would.

Specifically, most folks putting together a homebuilt aircraft or helicopter based around an automotive engine seem to like the engines in Subaru Jettas and the like. However, if you can get something like an IO-360 from Lycoming or TCM (perhaps surplus, parted our from an old airplane), that will produce more power per pound. But I warn you, a helicopter takes a LOT more than just hooking an engine to a rotor.

Probably a lot more practical - look into some of the ultralights. If you really want a helicopter-like vehicle, consider a gyrocopter. A heck of a lot simpler to build. With an "pre-rotate" feature, they can almost take off from a standing start, and have a very short landing roll. Look into a magazine called "Kitplane" for some ideas, and join EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). Good luck, and fly safe.

My green air hog helicopter is spinning on the ground, it won't lift and fly, how do I fix it?

Hi,
There is a problem on the motor gear, check the underside where you could see a big gear that should spin when you try to lift the helicopter. Check both big gears if they rotate/spins.
Usually the problem is the small gear on the motor shaft that is not aligned to that big gear. Check on it and adjust the small gear of the motor.

Hope that copter flies high.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

I crashed my Apache onto a table and when I try to fly it, It keeps spinning out of control. To my knowledge I don't see anything broken. It spins to the right. Please help! thanks!!!

It sounds like your tail rotor is acting up or missing. It keeps your Helicopter from flying in circles.

How do i fly my spin master air hog rc helicopter all it does is go in circles

If you trimmed your heli but it still can't work, try using the direction knob to trim it instead. When it goes clockwise push th knob leftwards and hold, and vise versa for anti-clockwise. Or, push and release repeatedly in the direction mentioned till it flies straight. Tested on around 6 air hogs helis and works each time. If you still can't trim you might try it after turning it off or contact the service centre.

My Havoc Heli is really hard to control and I need help.

You have to keep tapping the right trim button. Keep tapping it until it stops spinning. If the spinning stops and it just turns, Use the the left right moving analog un til it flies straight.

Havoc heli flight problems

Make sure the blades and rotors are free of debris. I had the same problem then noticed hair had gotten wrapped around the blades. Once you remove the hair or thread or string or whatever it should fly fine
