Helicopter keeps spinning in circles and won't lift

There is a "trim button" on the controller. Ex: if the helicopter is spinning left, press the "R" trim button repeatedly. Takes a little practice to get it down to flying with out hitting anything. Good luck.

How do i fly my spin master air hog rc helicopter

If you trimmed your heli but it still can't work, try using the direction knob to trim it instead. When it goes clockwise push th knob leftwards and hold, and vise versa for anti-clockwise. Or, push and release repeatedly in the direction mentioned till it flies straight. Tested on around 6 air hogs helis and works each time. If you still can't trim you might try it after turning it off or contact the service centre.

Lost clip under choper holding the shaft rotor

Mar 10, 2010- Don't know if you ever solved this issue but if the problem is still there and you feel adventerous you can try to fix it.If the top rotor and shaft came loose, (either it pulls out or if you turn the upper rotor and it does not engage and turn the lower one at the same rate) I used an exacto knife to cut along the seam of mine,(you have to be careful especially in the tail section as the antenna wire runs along its length). You will have to caerfully bend up the directional fans to remove each side of the body once separated. Use a small jewelers screwdriver to open the motor housing - there is a screw on the vertical rotor housing section right behind the circut board that you will have to get to by going in on an angle - being careful not to lose the small washer on the shaft above the lower gear. Remove the upper rotor and shaft and the gear and washer. Clean all with rubbing alcohol. Now here is the hard part - place the gear back into the lower half of the motor housing, insert the upper rotor shaft into the gear until it bottoms out and mark the shaft at the top of the gear, (a dab of liquid white-out used for typing errors works well becuse it dries fast). Once dry remove the shaft and pull the gear off of it. Measure from the bottom of the shaft to the white mark and write it down - you can use a piece of paper as a guide by lining up one edge with the bottom of the shaft and placing a mark at the spot of the white out if using a ruler is too difficult to read. clean any grease off of the shaft and inside of the gear. Since the shaft is carbon fiber and the gear is polyethylene plastic not many glues work well. I used "J-B weld" a two part epoxy that is tough as nails and holds up well. place a mark on the paper guide approximately 1/64th of an inch above the original mark. This is how far you will have to place the gear from the end of the shaft, (this allows for less friction and keeps the lower gear from rubbing on the bottom of the gearbox...VERY IMPORTANT!!! insert the upper rotor shaft into the shaft housing in the top part of the gear box and place the small washer on it. Use the paper guide you made and put a small dab of white-out on the shaft using the new mark a your point of reference, (rember it's 1/64" above the original mark). Mix up a tiny amount of JB weld and put a thin coat on the shaft just below the mark. Slide the gear onto the shaft up to the mark and set aside overnight to harden. Next day reassemble the gearbox, (if you placed the gear too high up on the shaft the two halves of the gear box will not come together. DO NOT force it. use a file to take alittle off of the end of the shaft until the gearbox seats together tightly and reinstall assembly into the heli. I would tape the two halves together with scotch tape until you know you got it right. Try the heli using the trim wheel to stop rotation. If better but still not right check the flex on the rotor blades as it seems if used alot they get soft and flex too much which makes it hard to adjust. If they do flex alot try coating each with a THIN layer of JB weld to stiffen them up. This is a very delicate procedure as if you put too much on the balance will be shot. Seems like alot of messing around for a $40.00 toy but I enjoyed the challenge and it is rewarding to solve a problem and win.

Heli wont go up very much and turns to the left

If thi is a Reflex with two opposing rotors and two directional fans then use the "trim wheel" on the top of the rotor assembly to counteract the spin. If you crashed it often enough the shaft for the top rotor may have come loose. I'm not sure how this actually works with the trim wheel but mine crashed a bit and the shaft came out. I re-inserted it and it worked OK for a while but eventually the gear inside stoppped grabbing the shaft and the top rotor would not spin. I took it apart and tried gluing the gear to the shaft and that got the rotor to spin at the same rate as the lower rotor but I could not trim to get rid of the spin on the body. I would advise not buying the Reflex becuse it does not hold up very well. I went out and purchased a Sharpshooter which is easier to fly and seems more durable

How do i fly my spin master air hog rc helicopter

If its a Reflex twin rotor Heli use the trim wheel on top to counteract the spin and at least stabilize the craft at hover. Then use the right/left froward backward fans to control flight, (right joystick on the controller). These fans are not very powerful so don't expect alot from them other than turning the craft right left and reverse. Seems there is too much down draft from the rotors to effectively move the Heli forward. Not a real good design. The Sharpshooter is easier to fly but uses the batteries in the controller as a charger so they don't last real long.

Main blades and stabilizer are

Unfortunately there are no replacement parts for these. Check the swash plate and look for broken or bent parts, these are pretty tough and usually have to take a pretty good beating to break but its not impossible.

Nothing happens

The charger connection is sensitive on the Reflex Pro. It isn't uncommon to plug in the charger, see the light flashing, then when setting it down a slight movement of the cable stops the charging (light will stop flashing). Try connecting the charger again (if you haven't already) and let it charge for about an hour. While getting a good charge can be frustrating, it is worth it for the 4 minutes of fun to follow :-\

Rotors spin just a little

make sure that the blades are snapped into place and that everything is charged and then make sure the heli is on because if you crash it, it will automatically turn itself off and then make sure no hair is stuck on the bar that spins thats attached to the blades and then try it again

Hey my heli will not take off or not turn on

i had the same problem, the first thing you want to do is make sure everything is off and you have to charge it for around 3 hours for the first time so make sure you let it charge until the red light stops blinking then make sure all the blades are correctly alligned then make sure the controller can turn on if thats all good then make sure you always turn the controller on first and then the heli and i figured out with the reflex that if you barely push up the throttle it wont even start to spin so push it up all the way or try the directional stick and see if it works
