Hi, can you guys access the merc stealth driver page? I can't get in to download a new keyboard driver. Also, sometimes my PC freezes when I put a disc in the DVD drive. My RAID drivers are all up to date.

SteelSeries Z Engine enables programmability of all keys
If you have read the manual, you can locate the section on Programming Keys for custom purposes. The feature of programmability allows anyone to use the keyboard in the USA and Foreign areas of the world. IF you need additional assistance, go to manufacturers customer relations/service for more details.
Windows would have set a restore point b4 it installed this update. Take it back to before that date and when windows tries to update again have a look at what the updates are and untick the one for the keyboard. Microsoft doesnt alyaws get it right with updates
try deleting the "Z engine" from your pc from the control panel, then restart, and delete these folders;
XP:
Click Start->Run and type “%appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder,\.
Vista:
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run)
and type “%appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder.
then try re-installing the Z engine from "http://www.steelseries.com/int/download" choose your keyboard model and download the driver.
The Problem is XP. Too Old and way out of date. Computer code has changed and the modern hardware devices won't function with XP. You need up-to-date DRIVERS and I do not know if they are backward compatible.
If you have a incompatibility problem, then try this solution:
- Go on google.com and search, "MERC Stealth (ZXP-2000) Keyboard Driver download"
Hope I helped

have you tried to get thier updates from all the sites they use? they have a european site, a webstore in the states, a few more too i think. all updates etc can come from any of the sites.
Can you please check the following:
1. Connect the Merc Stealth directly to the USB ports on the computer (do not use any intermediary devices such as USB router, KVM switch, etc..)
2. Unplug the devices connected to the USB ports on the back of the Stealth (if any) and connect to them to the PC instead.
3. Make sure USB and USB Legacy support is set to ON/Enabled in the system BIOS
4. Try to determine if there is any hardware or software conflicting with the Merc Stealth - what other irregular hardware or software do you use?
5. Check your RAM.
I tried number 3 and solved it.
http://www.ideazon.com/europe/downloads/drivers.asp?productid=zengine&os=vista®ion=us copy and paste the above address into address bar this will take you to the site for vista drivers
Oh, other problem. Yeah windows update seems to have done the trick.
