JWin JD-VD141 Volume / Sound too low

I have a jWIN JD-VD141 DVD player. The volume of the audio is too low. I turn the volume all the way up on the TV and it's just about loud enough to hear well enough to enjoy, but not quite. It should be much louder with the volume turned all the way up.

In the DVD remote put more volume that will help a little bit. The DVD has a volume control besides the one from your tv

No adio

Picture but no sound is common and there are loads of ways this could happen.

Check red and white cables haven't been swapped and are in the right places in both machines, tv and source. A good way to test is to make sure red cord is in red input on tv and that the correct AV channel is on (ie you have picture) then try each output from source (DVD player, sky, etc). If none give you joy there could be a problem with the AV channel you're using so switch to another, ie change from AV1 to AV2, and then start again.

TV screen is rolling and video appears only in black and white

Somehow we were able to get it fixed ourselves. We pressed the SETUP button on remote, then pressed the DOWN button 4 times then press the RIGHT button, then ENTER button for factory default setting.
