I have this webcam nx ultra from a couple of years back, that I never did get around to using. Now I need a camera to possibly work oline with, but I have a funny feeling that this camera, is only to create a video, then send it off to someone, rather than using it LIVE. So am I correct or not? and if I am correct, please give me your advice as to what camera I can use to get crisp video and sound LIVE online.

Try using a program called SplitCam. Simple program that acts as an interface between webcam and other applications. Often solves the issues like you are facing.

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Did you connect the camera before installing the
software program? If you did, disconnect the camera from the USB Port and
reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to reconnect
the printer, then plug the cable back into the USB port and it should function
properly.
