When i tried to install my new master window switch i found that someone had installed the rear window switch instead if the one that should be in it. well the plug terminals are different. i need to change the connections in the plug to match the one that should be in the car. does anyone know what wire goes to what terminal on the switch switch?
I don't think even a wiring diagram will show the terminal locations. You may have to sort it out from a wiring diagram for the windows for your car. Each window will have it's own color code for up and down. What a nightmare! You could be at it for awhile till you get it right. The lengths and hi-jinks some people will do on their cars! I would find a like car at a junkyard, snip the connector off with just enough wire to show the color (or longer if you just wanna splice it into your wiring), bring it home and match your wiring from it. Probably only a factory service manual would actually show the terminal locations. Good luck, Odel, and you didn't even say what kind of car you had, though it made no difference to me.

Your car battery is dead. Or the cable from the battery to the 12V terminal has a bad connection.
SOURCE: I can't get the positive battery terminal cable
Just cut both battery cable's right at battery cable's terminal, and replace both terminal with new one's each one about $2.00's.
