If the charger cannot charging is the problem, then you need to repair the Battery management software, because you say that the battery is working, then the error should be on the software, that it doesn't indicate that the battery is charging, first go to Device Manager (Right click My Computer, select Properties, click Hardware, click Device Manager) by type "Device" on the start menu and select Device Manager
Expand the Battery categories and right click on Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing, and select Uninstall
WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC Adapter driver or any other ACPI compliant driver.
On the Device Manager taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes

Please let me know if it's working

SOURCE: Lenovo N100 does not switch to battery power

Batteries have a memory,

When the battery was new it most likely would run for 1.5 hours, but, since you didn't want the computer to go off, and you were by a plug-in, you plugged it in before it was completely or maybe sometimes not even halfway discharged. That is where it stated its "memory" - this got shorter and shorter = your battery "THINKS" it is totally discharged and reads as so.

There are programs on the web (can't advertize for pay programs or give you links to them - against the rules) - that will re-vitalize your battery to almost new condition by discharging it more and more till it is truly fully discharged, then will fill it back to like new charge time.

Or you can buy a new battery.

hi monica
you have to get your battery replaced as the battery for this particular series konks off after a year or so.You can buy original battery from us which is expensive or you can buy "Amigo Inc. USA'' battery for the same model which works absolutely fine with this particular series. If u want we can give you our dealers address in your city.

SOURCE: lenovo y410 graphic card

If you want just adjust your display settings, then right click on empty desktop and choose properties -> settings, but if you wish to update graphic drivers, then here you can find drivers for your Lenovo.

Best wishes,

Hi sir i have lenovo 3000 y410, i face problem is that my laptop did not charged during power on condition ,but it's only charge in power off condition. So, pls solve my problem.

Hello Maitrikshah1,

I propose two solutions:-
1) Try to use any other charger and see what happens
2) Try to use the second battery and see what happens
3) Unplug the battery and connect the charger and see what happens.

Please update with your findings!
