I am unable to copy hard drive c onto simpletech

Bad hard drive 90 percent of all computers is HARD DRIVE related. Virus ate the boot sector, partition is damaged or scatched, to many files and the pagefile is on manual, hard drive failure due to age period, 90 percent of all computer failures is Hard Drive related.

If the external hard drive has been formatted on a PC in NTFS file format then the MAC cannot read data off this hard drive.
The FIX..
Connect the USB external hard drive to a Windows computer and copy your data off this hard drive to the computer.
Then format the external hard drive in FAT32 file format. (the MAC can read and write to data to and from a Windows PC)
Now copy the your data from the computer back onto the external hard drive.
Now you can connect the external hard drive to the MAC and download your data to the MAC.

I found that often, external hard drives just don't have any active partitions and thus don't show up in Windows. Go into the control panel, administrative tools, computer management and then the disk manager and see if it has a partition. If it's just unallocated space, right click and make one.

Pagefile is reserved space on the hard drive in case you run out of physical memory, the hard drive can write the overflow to the hard drive and not crash the PC.

You will have separate pagefiles for each OS. You cannot use a single pagefile for multiple OS installs, they are unique to each OS.

You should copy all of the created files, not the programs. Windows and other programs, once installed, are spread all over the hard drive, not just in the program folder in Program Files. U can remove the drive from the external unit and hook it up to your vista computer as a secondary drive. Boot up the vista, use windows explorer, and transfer the data from the secondary drive to either your primary or a usb stick.
