If you are a normal computer user who has forgot his BIOS password and you are unable to access to your BIOS, then you need a simple way to change your BIOS. Its not that hard because you just need a simple trick to reset your BIOS password.
Open your CPU cabinet after switching OFF the power and then try to locate the CPU battery which can be found very easily. Once you locate your battery you need to remove it once and restart your PC without the battery.
Note : Once you remove your battery from the mother board, you will find that all your time settings in your computer would be lost, and some softwares may stop working which are based on your computer time.
You need to shut down your PC again and now add back the battery which will enable you the time saving feature and also reset your BIOS password.

The best way for the Sony is to remove the cmos battery for at least 30 minutes. Remove the main laptop battery and leave it out. Make sure the power adapter is not attached. The cmos battery can be reached after removing the keyboard and is attached to the motherboard vis a small cable. If you have a "jumper" that come equipped on hard drives to jump the pins on the back, you can "short" the pin connections on the cmos battery socket, power the laptop up using the ac adapter and letting the computer go through the bootup process. When this happens power the laptop back down, take the jumper off and replace the cmos battery. Power back on with just the ac adapter and boot the computer. If the laptop still askes for a bios password just hit enter and it should allow you to log in. Once in go into the bios and reset the date and time. Once that is done power down and replace the main battery. Reboot the laptop and let Windows load.

Hello,
There are 2 ways you can reset your bios.
1.
On the motherboard there is
a small watch battery. Remove this battery along with the power cable
from the power supply. Hold down the power button to fully discharge the
system. Wait 2-3 minutes then reinstall the battery and plug in
your system. Your reset is now complete
2. Some motherboards have a 3
pin jumper by the battery. Lets say that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3.
Remove the jumper while the machine is OFF and place onto pins 1 and 2.
Power on your machine for a minute. (Note: Your system will not POST).
Shutdown your machine and put the jumper back to pins 2 and 3. Your
reset is now complete
This is a great troubleshooting
step for those of you having POST issues or no POSTing at all. Like
other troubleshooting steps, this will not always work but usually will
depending on the problem.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.
