Both types are very similar. Even though the carbon fiber claimed to be lighter, stronger and springier, I can tell you that don't really feel the difference. Both are fine. The most expensive stilts on the market - The original power skip spring, still uses fiberglass.

My garage fiberglass door was powerwashed by a guy painting the garage and now it has fiberglass fluffies all over it. How can I get rid of them and seal it? I am not handy.

Re power-washed garage door (Katie):
It sounds like the power-washing pressure, temperature and chemicals loosened the bond between epoxy and glass fibers.
Buy a large container of fiber-glass resin, with activator / hardener.
Brush this on, mixing small amounts as you progress (sets quickly). When completely cured, lightly sandpaper and re-coat if necessary to remove furriness.
Paint with undercoat and weatherproof surface enamel paint.
Acetone solvent can clean (messy, sticky, smelly) resin.
Edit: Wear protective clothing - those fibers itch!! :)

How can i repair a crack in my hard case swiss cargo roof rack carrier?

I would use fiberglass (resin, hardener + cloth) on the inside after thoroughly scuffing (and if necessary drilling reinforcing holes) the carrier surface. If after doing that the exterior is not to your liking you could remove any loose material, fill any low areas with auto body filler, sand smooth, and paint. This type of repair will be watertight and likely stronger than the original piece. I have done similar repairs on fiberglass, plastic, carbon fiber, and wood. If the carrier is smooth plastic I would recommend drilling small holes along that crack to allow for a better bond. If it is fiberglass carbon fiber or another composite course scuffing should suffice.
