How to remove the fiberglass side panel from a jetted tub rectangle tub with fiber glass side. Do not want to break it.

My garage fiberglass door was powerwashed by a guy painting the garage and now it has fiberglass fluffies all over it. How can I get rid of them and seal it? I am not handy.

Re power-washed garage door (Katie):
It sounds like the power-washing pressure, temperature and chemicals loosened the bond between epoxy and glass fibers.
Buy a large container of fiber-glass resin, with activator / hardener.
Brush this on, mixing small amounts as you progress (sets quickly). When completely cured, lightly sandpaper and re-coat if necessary to remove furriness.
Paint with undercoat and weatherproof surface enamel paint.
Acetone solvent can clean (messy, sticky, smelly) resin.
Edit: Wear protective clothing - those fibers itch!! :)

Should be patched from inside and outside,if you haven't worked with fibreglass find someone that does

The casing around the jet on the tub side is cracked and is causing water to leak on the outside of the tub. This has happened to three of the 10 jets. What can I do to fix this?

Cheap plastic fatigues with heat . Silicone will work but will not keep the crack from continuing. The fix depends upon what type of plastic you have . It is likely a polyester like fiberglass in which case you can use regular fiberglass to fixit . Rough up the outside with 80 grit , brush in fiberglass resin ( don't forget to mix in hardener) lay in glass material , repeat until built up . Repair the front with a good "gelcoat " repair kit which allows you to mix match color.. sand with 220 , then 600, then 800, then 1500, then 3000 , polish with automotive whit polishing compound , wax

That will you take you to the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual. The SM will take you thru front panel removal. the front panel and the washer top raised are the only access points for the FAV6800A and FAV9800A Maytag Neptune TL's.

How did this happen? Any sever wash tub swings in Spin Cycle?

you will have to take it to a body shop or dealer. depending on how bad the break is, they may fix or repair the fiberglass. the air duct is probably not a real important part, just deflects air. good luck

Removing gold toned grab bars and fixtures from old whirlpool tub

sometimes a plumber leaves an access panel to get at the drain and jets under the tub---it's usually small and may not be enough to get a body in---usually the grab bars are permanently glued or siliconed on a fiberglass/plastic tub....a cast iron, or other non-plastic type tub may have removable grab bars...look for access area, or you may just have to cut out a piece of the wall to look----or if you do find a small access panel, and can get a telescoping mirror to look back at the back of the grab bar underneath the tub, you will find your answer----or you could contact the original manufacturer of the tub, and they can tell you if the grab bars are removable....another solution is to coat/paint/sandblast the metal bars however you'd like them to be

you can but it's not worth the trouble of doing it! lots of fiberglass and you need to have access to the whole tub on the sides

Mirror glass replacement on drivers side

i don't have aviator. here's explorer, should be the same.

You will see a small rectangle where the screwdriver goes in. You are pryingtowards glass. The retention is about a 3 inch rectangle that has a lip around it that snaps onto a rectangle on the mirror body.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Exterior Mirror Glass Removal
NOTE: Exterior mirror glass is serviceable only on vehicles built after July of 2001.
NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar.
All mirrors

Position the glass in the full up position.

Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.

Release the exterior mirror glass.
1. Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch.
1. Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released. (and pull screwdriver towards glass)

Heated mirrors

Position aside the exterior mirror glass.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

Remove the exterior mirror glass (17K707) passenger side or (17T675) driver side.

Installation
Heated mirrors

Connect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.
