Gigabyte actually has a very good website. I pasted a link below to the CPU support list.

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=1619

As far as what would be the best to buy I would say the closest to the top that you can afford ignoring the P4-Extreme CPUs.

I have a Motherboard gigabyte GA-8PE800. when i

Hi,
The ATX 12v ( 4 pin Connector ) is For The CPU Power.
This could Indicate, either A Faulty CPU.
Or a fault To The Motherboards ( BGA ) or CPU Socket Holder.
Or alternatively, The Actual PSU Itself is Faulty.
You can obtain A CPU Socket Tester from e-bay. And A PSU Tester.

Hope This Helps Mike @ Compurepair.

Where can I buy a GA-8PE800 Pro motherboard?

Sorry Jack, I exhausted most of my resources and did not come up with one. This mobo will be a big pain to find. I would say buy a new board and unforunately reinstall your operating system. I know it's a pain, but I don't think you're going to find this board without some extreme luck.

What you could do, is find a similar board with the same north and south bridge, same chipset. This will allow you to not have to reinstall your OS.

It is possible to keep your current data set and still install a different motherboard. It requires disabling all plug'n'play support built into the OS before swapping the board. Then you install the new set of chipset drivers for the new board. I have made it work before, but its certainly not the cleanest way to do this, as you well know.

Sorry for not being anymore help. I can usually find old mobo's fairly easily, but this one must be a needle in a haystack.
