If cable etc have it looked at--line from it or a sat feed etc--could be a bad connection or a problem at the source if all sets have same issue--if I was for example using a single line coming in--disconnect it and hook it directly to a single set--if problem not there it is in the house--if there it is outside.

SOURCE: Can't watch the channel, pixcels breaking up, no

It sounds like your using Rabbit Ears or Outside Antenna. If you are your going to have to improve the signal level. If you are on cable then first call your Cable provider and have them come out and check the signal level. Then, if neither is the problem, you'll have to take it into a service center to have it properly diagnosed.

coax feeding that tv may be too long or bad.

SOURCE: My TV Sharp 26 SB1 LCD PBS channel breaks up

Do any other OTA channels break up on this TV? Look through your setup options menu for a TV reset (memory or restore default or a similar command) . Do the reset and exit the menus (save the action on most TVs); then return and rescan the OTA channels.

On a different brand of TV this worked. The channel had broken up for several weeks; the reset was used when the channel finally became totally corrupted (no video on one sub-channel, no audio on the other).

Some tuners need a stronger signal to be stable; you may need an amplifier on your antenna.

I hope one of these ideas helps.

SOURCE: only getting blue screen on both tvs. one keeps

New TV's or new problem? If these are new TV's it could be that they are set on something other than the Cable Input Option.

On your remote press the input button to get an onscreen menu and set them to cable.

Otherwise, if you installed these yourself recently, recheck all connections to make sure they are set up correctly, using the manuals that came with the TVs. My guess is that you may have connected them incorrectly to/from the cable input device.

If these are not new TVs and this is a new problem, take a look at your outside cable box. Occasionally one can have a problem with an input cable. If that is the case, the cable company needs to be called to replace or repair.

Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: i have three tvs in

I expect the connections could be in need of attention. Check the point where they are connected via that booster. If you have a portable to test the bedroom and rule out the tuner in the bedroom TV?
Hope that helps.

THIS PROBLEM IS NOT LOGICAL-SIGNAL STRENGHTS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND WAS OK BUT THE PICTUE KEEPS BREAKING DIFFERENT ON 3 DIFERENT TVS IN THE HOUSE BUT WHEN I REMOVE ANY ONE OF THEM AND CONNECR IT INTO O

In fringe areas; where signal strength is too weak, this should happen. It sounds that, you're using an Ariel booster along with a splitter. Just connect one TV at a time, without using the splitter. If picture break occurs even this time, adjust the the signal strength of the booster [either low or high], and check whether it can help you. Keep in mind, iv the signal strength is too low, or set to too high, this fault will happen, as AGC [automatic Gain Control] circuit inside the set won't function properly. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

How to tune a tv channel

This could be too much signal.

Just to be sure though, try the set in another room where one of the other TVs works okay. This will help you see if it's a cable or a TV signal issue. If you pick up all the channels okay it's likely that that other TV point has some bigger signal losses due to the cabling.

The mux (transmitter channel) carrying the BBC signals will be amongst the strongest at each and every TV transmitter across the land. This is because the BBC and the main ITV channels have to reach about 96% of the mainland UK population in order to the broadcasters to fulfill their remit.

TV tuner sensitivity varies between brands and models. It may be that your old TV was just about okay with the signal power, but the new TV's tuner is over saturated.

A simple and inexpensive diagnosis tool is a variable attenuator. The MA1620 on this page is perfect for that job:
Splitters amplified splitters and attenuators

It will give you a way to reduce the signal level at one TV without affecting the other TVs in the house.

37" LG flat screen is

With the onset of more and more TVs being hooked up to cable, TV manufacturers didn't need to make the tuners as sensitive because the signal from the Cable Co. was much stronger than the over the air signal. If the other TVs are older they may be just sensitive enough to lock onto the channel signals. You could ask your cable provider to check your available signal in the house to see if there is the proper amount of signal. Some channels can inherently be stronger and when "block converted" (put where the cable company wants the channels) all come thru but some are a bit clearer.

My LG 42" keeps losing signal and breaking up on

Lost signal could be several things. Check that you have good connections and that your co-ax cable was made in this century.
If you are using over the air look for obstructions like trees or buildings blocking the antenna signal.
If you have cable that one is easy, have the cable guy come out and test your signal strength. 98%b of them will do this for free.

Cannot keep all channels on tv

When you say you "lose" channels, you probably mean there's no signal there anymore but they are still in the channel memory. This is normal if you have a rotatable antenna. You need to mark the rotator (or just keep a chart nearby) with the heading for each channel.

If you mean you're losing channels from memory when rescanning after turning the antenna, the only solution I can offer is to record the channels found (and their signal levels) after scanning a direction. Then change directions and rescan. See what new channels have been found, what have been lost, or how signal level has changed on common channels. Then you can manually add whatever you need, and you'll know what direction is best for each. It's tedious, but you should only need to do it once.
