Brand new andis trimmer pulling hair and not cutting good

The questions about Andis T-Outliner or Andis Styliner II, about not cutting or pulling hair.
On the Andis T-Outliner trimmer if the sharpness of the blade is worn out, all the tricks and treats won't make this blade to cut hair. Before I do any kind of work to the trimmer, I first test the coil for the right amount power, I can get out of the coil, without this power, it doesn't matter how new or old the trimmer is, the trimmer will not cut hair at all. If the coil is good, I will sharpen the blade and set it according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) after the blade is sharpened and set. The trimmer will need to be, adjusted for alignment to the blade, adjust the power of the coil, and adjust the tension for the blade. All these factors are involved in the Andis T-Outliner to cut hair clean especially lineups or shaving. These adjustments work together for the trimmer to work properly. I know that we all trying to save money, which is part of life, but sometimes frustration will take over and say hell with it, I'll buy another or forget it. Manufactures make mistakes, sometimes the trimmer was not sharpened or adjusted correctly. Any case, what I'm trying to say here, if you try all the tricks & treats and can get your trimmer to work, it may be easier for you to send it to a professional to sharpen & repair the problem and set the blade according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) We specialize on Andis T-Outliner Trimmers. What kinds of pencil sharpners are there?

There are many kinds of pencil sharpeners that have been developed through the years.

The most common ones, the manual sharpners, can be of the following kinds:

Mechanical sharpeners: a portable variety, usually small and in the shape of a rectangular prism. The blade inside rotates around the pencil, sharpening it. The shavings emerge through a slot.

Blade sharpeners: small and portable, hold replaceable shaving razor blades or permanently fitted blades. They work similarly to knives, but in a more convenient and safe way.

Cylindrical cutters: larger variety, stationary, powered by a crank. One hand holds the pencil, the other turns the crank.

Another common pencil sharpener found often in offices is the electric sharpener. It works on the same principle as the manual sharpener, but the blade rotates quickly thanks to an electric motor, either powered by batteries or plugged into the electrical system.

There are still people, mainly artists, that sharpen their pencils with a knife.

When I insert a pencil into my brand new school pro sharpener, the blades spin, but do not sharpen.

The website says to check and make sure its not jammed with pencil lead or something else. unplug it take the shavings bin out and flip it upside down so you can look into the sharpeners. Rotate them by hand till you can see the open side of the blade then use a unfolded paper clip and slide it in the path the pencil would usually take. This should knock anything loose the would be jammed in there. If it passes through to where you can see the point you should be clear. If you didn't dislodge anything or it still doesn't sharpen but the blades spin when you try to use the sharpener, then there is a tab that can get jammed back that needs to be in the foreword position. The tab is located where the tip of the pencil would point if it was actually being sharpened. if you run the paper clip through the machine (just like when trying to dislodge something) the tip of the clip will touch the tab. make sure its not jammed back (away from the opening/pencil) it should be as far forward as possible for the blades to engage. I hope this helps! This has been jammed many times by pencil shavings or gunk on my wife's (elementary school teacher) pencil sharpener.

Difficulty shaving Spanish Water Dog

The biggest issue with clipping animals (except sheep which use completely different clippers) is that once you have sharpened blades, you need to go slow and keep then blades oiled and cooled. The KOOL spray by oster works great and the clippers you are using are a good reliable brand and model. When clipping my cocker/schnauzer cross, I have a 1/2 inch guard on it (have to use a 30 or 40 blade with the guards) and it takes about an hour. I stop every 10 minutes or so to let them cool down, spray and oil them.

Braun 8585 series

I found that the hole that the blade slots into had become worn and the blade was wobbling about too much under the foil. To solve it I wrap a small piece of masking tape around the metal shaft that slots into the hole and then push the blade back firmly into the slot. This seems to result in the blade pushing more firmly against the underside of the foil and giving a shave like new again.
