My sky caddie SGX is frozen, won't respond to any button so i can't get it to sync

Maybe the yardage indication is predicated on the screen size - on many units if you are way out in range, you get nada until you zoom in. Check that angle out.

I'm not sure, I have set up my sky caddie, but too sure on how to use it, I had to pay to get the courses on it, not happy with this device at all, sorry I can't help

Uninstall the Software APP and REINSTALL and then Update...

You can also change the owner information.You may want to change the information if you purchased the GPS used, ornoticed an error in the information.TOLLS NEEDED AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE STATEDBELOW.Software update 2.42 or higher1 Press the "Thumb Stick" to display the Sky Caddiemain menu.2 Scroll down with the thumb stick and select"Options." Tap the thumb stick to enter the menu.3 Select "Owner Information," and tap thethumb stick to enter the folder.4 Enter or change the current owner data (Name,telephone, etc.). Scroll down with the thumb stick and select "OK."Thanks.

Remove the battery and the unit will shut down. Wait 1 minute, install battery and the unit should power up and work as normal.

Had the same problem when i first tried to sync on 2 different OS (XP and 7) as soon as I put skygolf.com into my antivirus software as a trusted site, it worked like a charm. Hope this helps someone as this is a great gps.
