SOURCE: screen keeps turning green

My Panasonic Plasma television started doing a green screen also. When it does it to me, is when I use the Last button or the Fav button. This is with Charter Communication. If I go back and forth, to various stations, then one station will turn green. So by trial and error, I found that when I clicked on a station, the screen would turn green. I had to push the Guide button, then the guide would come up, then push the Exit button, to get rid of the Guide, and then it would be on the station you wanted. If that does not work, then I have to just turn the TV off and turn it back on. It is rather annoying, however, as long as I can get rid of it, I can deal with it, instead of always turning the TV off. I don't know if this happens with all TV's or just Plasmas. If it does, I will not get another Plasma, if it happens with all TV's, maybe it is the remote, or the cable company. I just don't know.

Problem with plasma display on Panasonic TH-50PH9UK television

there is an x-buffer and a y-buffer. by disconnecting these and noticing if the picture changes you will be able to identify if it is on of these boards or if it is the screen itself. Youtube also has a lot of helpful videos. hope this helps

My 42 inch plasma has a loud squeel in it

Hi

If you can hear any buzzing from more than a few feet then the TV is defective and needs to be replaced. Buzzing is a common defect among plasma TVs regardless of brand. It has nothing to do with the plasma cells working; usually it's a defective board or a power supply problem or something like that.

Our Panasonic 50" TH 42PX75U

well it sounds like something fried inside the tv. In my experience, this sounds like your y-sustain board went bad. it could be your video board also. considering todays value of the 50" panasonic plasma, it will be cheaper to replace it, unless you are willing to spend around $300 to get it fix at a shop.
good luck

I have a Panasonic TH-50PH9. The green ligth is on but I have nothing on the screen. When I push any botton on the remote, the green light blinks. No menu. nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi, First of all check your cable connections on the back make sure they are properly connected and in the right place.
Secondly make sure the settings in the menu are set to TV, DVD etc... what you want to watch.
Thirdly read you MANUAL for more info.

My Panasonic TH-50PZ7OOU will not turn on. The red light on the lower left is on, but the screen is completely dark. pressing power button on both TV and Remote control gets no response.

Try to power it up with the remote control. When you hear the relay's click, see how many times the red light flashes. This will tell us what the fault is.

Buzzing

The noise is caused by dust on one of the toroidal transformers(usually a round looking thing with wire wound around it). Go to the back of your television and try and pinpoint were the sound is coming from. Turn your television off and blow it out with compressed air if it is close to air vents in the television. If you cant see it you might have to open your television back panel.
