hi there, you should take your car to a radiator shop and have them clean the radiator. To do this they dismantle it and clean all the tubes etc. This is not a job to do at home. They radiator electric fan shoud not run all the time only when it is switched on by the water temp switch which could be faulty. It sounds most likely that your problem is more associated with a partially blocked radiator.
u should check for a faulty thermostat first, they are only a few quid and easily replaced. if no change ur most likely faults are a blocked radiator or faulty water pump. u dont sayhow old ur van is but after the thermostat go to the radiator, when its hot check the bottom of the rad to make sure its hot, also brown water means u need to bback flush ur cooling system. even tho u have changed some sensors doesnt mean u got the fan switch sender, dash board sender and fan sender tend to be different sensors, so just double check.
Hot wire each fan to see if they work. One hot wire will do since the motor is grounded well to the body. If they are working check the reading on the coolant fan switch. If no voltage is coming from it replace it. If it shows voltage the fan relay will need to be replaced instead
Your electric fan is probibly not running.Fan switch, fan relay or the fan could be bad.If it is getting hot and you pop the hood you should hear the fan running.
check the relay may be stuck, thermostat switch could also be faulty which sense the engine temperature and turn on the cooling fan by giving the wrong temperature reading; also check for previous owner may have rig and rewired the cooling wiring system and its common to do the jump because its not working properly.
There is a fan relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Usually that is the reason why it won't turn off. It fuses in the on position. If you have the manual it will say which one is the fan relay. just pull it out and get a new one. They are not expensive.
