My mp3 player wont charge but will turn on when pouted in

my problem is my mp3 wont turn on. it turn on just when i plug my hip-streed on my cumputer, but when i disconnect it it wont turn on...

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

Press the Reset button then try charging it and if it doesn't begin to charge then take it to Radio shack.

maybe your mp4 player is switching off... try to turn on...

it may happen that the battery itself is brocken!!because it is over charged you said that its been charged all day...that might be the problem because if its over charged then theres a possibility that it wont be turned on or wont work..try changing the battery and try to turn it on..

i juat keep it on the charger to charge and it works again

On the back of the the mp3 player is a reset switch.
Hold that down about 15 seconds.
If that does not work go to the RCA website.
Download the latest firmware.
Plug mp3 player into pc.
Install the new firmware.
Keep it plug to computer for about 1 hour to charge the battery alittle.
